When Andy Murray joked that he’d like to play against Serena Williams during Wimbledon 2013, the old argument about men’s tennis vs the ladies game reared its familiar head.
We at Wimbledon Debenture Holders thought we’d get to the bottom of this once and for all and finally answer the question: who are the better players, the men or the ladies?
Using the performances of some of the world’s top players from Wimbledon 2013, we’ve set up a battle for the ages. Follow the rally of the sexes below, with three heavyweights of the men’s game squaring off against three of the best players the ladies have to offer. Scroll down as the match of the century unfolds and find out who reigns supreme!
So there you have it, it’s (sort of) official. With more aces per game, more first serves in and more winners per game, the ladies take the title – at least for this year.
Remember, it’s just for fun, so please share our rally of the sexes with your friends.
