Novak Djokovic earned more ATP prize money in 2015 than Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal combined.
That incredible statistic shows just how dominant the world number one was in this, his finest year on court.
Djokovic earned $21,646,145 from the ATP tour in a season that saw him win the Australian Open, Wimbledon, the US Open and the World Tour Finals.
Roger Federer was the next highest ATP earner, way back on $8,692,017. Murray pocketed $8,245,230, with Nadal back on $4,508,888.
The so-called “Big Beasts,” excluding Novak, therefore earned a total of $21,446,135 in prize money. So adding the earnings of three current greats together, they still couldn’t quite match the amazing Djokovic for tennis salary in 2015.
Therefore it is arguable that Novak’s tennis greatness this year has been more powerful than the combined greatness of Federer, Murray and Nadal.
Of the $151.4 million the ATP paid out to over 3,500 players, Djokovic earned the lion’s share with a whopping 14 per cent.
