The Canadians Are Coming!

Whisper it softly, but there is a love affair going on between the Canadians and Wimbledon.

You can feel it in the air. The Canadians are good enough to achieve the big Wimbledon singles breakthrough in 2019. In a sense it has already happened.

Milos Raonic reached the Wimbledon final in 2016 - and Eugenie Bouchard achieved that same feat in 2014. They both came so close to the ultimate dream of Wimbledon glory.

On their day, either could mount a fresh challenge and take that final step to secure the biggest title of them all.

Now Denis Shapovalov is being hailed as one of the big new stars of tennis, capable of winning Grand Slams for Canada and the next generation.

No doubt he will be inspired by hearing that he is one of Roger Federer’s favorite young players. And of course by what Raonic has done at Wimbledon over the years.

Big Milos managed to defeat the great Federer in an epic semi-final at the 2016 Championships. He showed that anything is possible.? It's possible some time soon. Raonic and Bouchard. Wimbledon champions. Just imagine it!
